Innova ITX9600 Review
If you are one of the 80% of adults who suffer from chronic back pain, you know how debilitating it can be. There are treatments that can help, such as massage and physical therapy, but for a lot of people, back pain is a constant fact of life.
The good news is that there is another form of treatment that has been approved by the FDA for reducing back pain – inversion therapy. Inversion therapy is non-invasive, has no unwanted side effects, and has saved countless people from having to undergo surgery. It’s also something you can do in the comfort of your own home, taking no more than 10-15 minutes out of your day.
So, how does inversion therapy work? Using a device called an inversion table, you basically hang from your ankles which decompresses your spine. In addition, it stretches the tight muscles that can contribute to back pain. Inversion also enhances blood flow, speeding up repair and recovery from injuries.
Of course, to experience inversion therapy for yourself, you’ll need an inversion table. Some inversion tables are very expensive, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some budget-friendly products available. The Innova itx9600 inversion table is well-priced, sturdy, and ideal for beginners.
In this article, we review the Innova itx9600 so you can decide if this is the right inversion table for you.

The best way to describe the design of the Innova itx9600 is functional. It’s a budget-friendly inversion table, and that’s very much reflected in the features and build of this product.
First off, the Innova itx9600 inversion table is built on a very strong steel A-frame. It’s strong, stable, and should provide many years of reliable back pain relief. The frame is painted rather than powder coated, so the finish could become chipped.
The backrest is padded with foam for comfort. It’s not the thickest padding available, and it’s not memory foam, but, combined with the adjustable lumbar pad, it should ensure you are comfortable.
The headrest is adjustable, so you can ensure that your head is properly supported.
This is a useful feature for taller or shorter than average users.
The ankle holders on the Innova itx9600 inversion table are not very well padded, and you have to bend all the way forward to operate them. This could put unwanted stress on your lower back. Not very well-padded ankle holders won’t be an issue at shallow inversion angles, but if you want to hang upside down, you may find the lack of padding a problem.
Tipping upside down is easy on the Innova itx9600; just use the large, padded handles. You can also limit your range of motion with the easy-to-operate angle pin system.
All in all, the Innova itx9600 is well made and well-priced, but it’s not the most comfortable inversion table around, especially in the ankle holder department.
Ease of Use
The Innova itx9600 is very easy to use. The true balance system means that once you adjust the table for your height, the machine’s fulcrum aligns perfectly with your center of gravity. Because of this, you won’t need to use a lot of muscle power to invert and come back upright.
The ankle holder is straightforward to operate, and there are two configurations to choose from so you can select the best option for you.
However, with no extended operation lever, you will have to bend forward to reach your ankles, which may be a disadvantage for some users.
Because you don’t have to hang completely upside down to decompress your spine and alleviate back pain, the Innova itx9600 has a pin selector so you can set the maximum decline. The options are:
- 15 degrees
- 30 degrees
- 45 degrees
- 60 degrees
- 85 degrees
- 90 degrees
This means that this inversion table is perfect for beginners and anyone who doesn’t want to inadvertently flip upside down the first time they try inversion therapy. With relatively few features and adjustments, the Innova itx9600 is very easy to use. It’s an excellent choice for inversion therapy novices.

If you can accept that the Innova itx9600 is a budget-friendly inversion table, this product doesn’t really have many disadvantages. The main drawbacks of this product are:
Basic ankle holder design – there is no escaping the fact that the Innova itx9600 inversion table has a very basic ankle holder system. Not only does it lack padding, the only way to operate it is by bending down and reaching for your feet.
If you only intend to invert to 60 degrees or less, this shouldn’t present too much of an issue. But, for full inversion, the Innova itx9600 inversion table will probably cause ankle pain.
Doesn’t fold flat – like most inversion tables, the Innova itx9600 is foldable for storage. However, unlike some other models, this product doesn’t fold flat, so you probably won’t be able to slide it under a bed when you aren’t using it.
Assembly
The Innova itx9600 requires some self-assembly before it’s ready to use. The good news is that this is a relatively straightforward process, and instructions and all the relevant tools are included with your inversion table.
Most users report that putting the Innova itx9600 inversion table together takes about 30 minutes and can easily be done by one person. There is also a handy video assembly guide from Innova.
Warranty
There is very little to go wrong with the Innova itx9600. It’s built to last, and users report very few issues with this particular inversion table. It’s also backed by a 12-month parts and labor warranty, so you can buy with confidence.
Bottom Line
If you want an inversion table that won’t break the bank but is still robust, stable, and should last for many years, the Innova itx9600 inversion table could be a good choice.
The strong steel frame and simple adjustment systems mean that there is very little to go wrong with this inversion table, and it’s very straightforward to use. While it doesn’t have some of the bells and whistles that you’ll find on more expensive models, it certainly does what it’s supposed to do, reliably and without fanfare.
If there is a downside to the Innova itx9600, it’s the ankle holders. While some users report no issues, others have said that they’re quite uncomfortable, especially for full inversion. It may be best to try before you buy, just in case you are one of the people who find that the lightly padded ankle holders cause pain.
For the price, the Innova itx9600 is tough to beat. But it IS a budget-friendly product, and you get what you pay for, especially in terms of comfort and features.
